Accepting & Shipping

Once you've received a buyback quote and you're happy with the price, the next step is to accept the quote and ship your items to CoinDuffle. This page covers everything you need to know about the process.

Accepting Your Quote

After reviewing your quote and locking in the price:

1. Click "Accept Quote" on the quote summary page.
2. Review the terms — You'll see a summary of what you're selling, the agreed price, and the terms of the transaction.
3. Confirm acceptance — Click Confirm to finalize. This creates a binding agreement at the locked price.

Once accepted, you'll receive:

• An email confirmation with the details of your accepted quote
• Shipping instructions including the destination address and a reference number
• A packing slip to print and include with your shipment

Shipping Your Items

What You'll Need

• Your items, properly packaged (see packaging tips below)
• The printed packing slip from CoinDuffle
• A sturdy shipping box
• Packing materials (bubble wrap, packing peanuts, or similar)
• Shipping tape

Packaging Tips

Proper packaging is critical when shipping precious metals and coins. Damaged items may result in a reduced payout or rejection. Follow these guidelines:

For Coins (Loose or in Capsules)

• Place each coin in its own coin flip, capsule, or protective sleeve if not already in one.
• Wrap coins individually in bubble wrap to prevent contact and movement.
• For graded coins in slabs, wrap each slab in bubble wrap. Do not remove coins from their graded holders.

For Bars

• Wrap each bar in bubble wrap or protective padding.
• Use cardboard dividers between bars to prevent them from rubbing against each other.

General Packaging Guidelines

• Use a sturdy, double-walled corrugated box appropriately sized for your items. Avoid oversized boxes where items can shift.
• Fill all empty space with packing peanuts, crumpled paper, or foam to prevent movement during transit.
• Include the packing slip inside the box so we can match the shipment to your quote.
• Seal the box securely with strong packing tape on all seams.
• Do not write "coins," "gold," "silver," or any indication of valuable contents on the outside of the box.

Shipping Method

We recommend the following for shipping precious metals:

• USPS Registered Mail — The most secure option for shipping valuable items. Registered Mail provides chain-of-custody tracking and is insured.
• USPS Priority Mail with Insurance — A good option for moderate-value shipments.
• USPS Priority Mail Express — For faster delivery with tracking and insurance.

Whichever method you choose, make sure:

• Tracking is included — You need to be able to track your shipment.
• Insurance covers the full value — Insure the package for the full quoted amount of your shipment.
• You save the tracking number — Enter it on CoinDuffle or keep it in your records so you can monitor the delivery.

Shipping Address

The shipping address for buyback items is provided in your acceptance confirmation email and on your packing slip. Always use the address provided — do not ship to any other CoinDuffle address.

Shipping Cost

You are responsible for the cost of shipping your items to CoinDuffle. This is a standard practice in the precious metals buyback industry. Factor shipping costs into your decision when evaluating your quote.

After You Ship

1. Enter your tracking number — Log in to CoinDuffle and enter the tracking number for your shipment on the buyback order page. This helps us match your package when it arrives.
2. We receive and inspect your items — When your package arrives at CoinDuffle, our team:
   • Verifies the contents against your packing slip and quote
   • Authenticates and inspects each item
   • Confirms weights, purity, and condition
3. Verification complete — If everything matches your quote, the transaction proceeds to payment.

What If Items Don't Match the Quote?

If our inspection reveals discrepancies between what was quoted and what was received:

• Minor discrepancies — If an item is slightly different than expected (e.g., a different year than specified but the same type), we may offer an adjusted price.
• Significant discrepancies — If items are counterfeit, significantly different from the quote, or damaged, we'll contact you to discuss options, which may include returning the items at your expense.
• Missing items — If the shipment is short, payment will be adjusted to reflect only the items received.

We'll always contact you before making any changes to the agreed payout amount.

Here's what to expect from acceptance to payment:

Important Reminders

• Ship within the required timeframe — After accepting a quote, you must ship your items within 5 business days. If the items aren't shipped within this window, the quote may expire and you'll need to request a new one at current market prices.
• Keep your receipt and tracking — Always save your shipping receipt and tracking number as proof of shipment.
• Don't include unrequested items — Only ship the items specified in your accepted quote. Additional items sent without a quote will be returned at your expense.
