Order Statuses

Understanding CoinDuffle order statuses — from pending to delivered, what each status means and what to expect.

Order Statuses

Every order on CoinDuffle goes through a series of statuses that let you know exactly where things stand. You can check your order status at any time by visiting Account → Orders and clicking on the order in question.

Status Lifecycle

Orders follow this general progression:

Pending → Processing → Shipped → Delivered

Here's what each status means:

Pending

Your order has been placed but payment has not yet been confirmed.

This status is most common for:

  • ACH bank transfers — The transfer has been initiated but hasn't cleared yet (typically 3–5 business days).
  • Wire transfers — You've placed the order but the wire hasn't been received yet.
  • Credit card holds — In rare cases, additional verification may be needed before the charge is finalized.

What to do: If you chose ACH or wire transfer, ensure you've completed the payment. For wire transfers, make sure you included the correct reference number. If your order stays in "Pending" for longer than expected, check with your bank or contact CoinDuffle support.

Processing

Payment has been confirmed and the seller is preparing your order.

During this stage, the seller:

  • Picks the item(s) from their inventory
  • Verifies the product matches the listing (especially for graded coins and collectibles)
  • Packages the items securely for shipping
  • Creates a shipping label

Processing typically takes 1–3 business days, depending on the seller. Some sellers ship same-day for orders placed early in the day.

What to do: No action needed. Your order is being prepared and you'll receive a shipping notification soon.

Shipped

Your order has been picked up by the carrier and is on its way to you.

When an order moves to "Shipped," you'll receive:

  • An email notification with the tracking number
  • A link to track your package via the carrier's website

You can also see the tracking number in your order details at Account → Orders.

What to do: Use the tracking number to monitor your package's progress. See Tracking Shipments for details.

Delivered

The carrier has confirmed delivery to your shipping address.

When delivery is confirmed:

  • Your order status updates to "Delivered"
  • The delivery date and time are recorded

What to do: Inspect your items as soon as possible. Verify everything matches what you ordered — correct items, correct quantities, and condition as described. If there's an issue, contact CoinDuffle support promptly.

Other Statuses

In addition to the main lifecycle, you may encounter these statuses:

Cancelled

The order has been cancelled. This can happen if:

  • You requested a cancellation before shipment
  • Payment was not received within the required timeframe (for wire transfers)
  • The seller was unable to fulfill the order

If an order is cancelled after payment was taken, a refund will be issued. See Cancellations & Refunds.

Refunded

A refund has been issued for this order, either partially or in full.

On Hold

The order has been temporarily paused, usually for:

  • Additional identity verification
  • Address verification issues
  • Review by our fraud prevention system

If your order is on hold, you may receive an email requesting additional information. Respond promptly to avoid delays.

Checking Your Order Status

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the page.
  2. Select Orders from the dropdown.
  3. Find your order in the list — the current status is displayed next to each order.
  4. Click on an order to see full details, including status history, tracking information, and item details.

Status Notifications

CoinDuffle sends email notifications at key status changes:

Make sure your email address is correct and check your spam folder if you're not receiving notifications.
