Searching & Filters

CoinDuffle offers powerful search and filtering tools to help you find exactly what you're looking for among thousands of products. Whether you know the exact item you want or you're exploring what's available, these tools will save you time.

Using the Search Bar

The search bar is located at the top of every page on CoinDuffle. Click on it (or press / on your keyboard as a shortcut) to start searching.

How to Search

Simply type what you're looking for and results will appear as you type. You can search by:

• Product name — e.g., "American Silver Eagle"
• Year — e.g., "2024 Gold Eagle"
• Metal type — e.g., "platinum coins"
• Denomination — e.g., "Morgan Dollar"
• Seller name — e.g., a specific dealer you trust
• Descriptive terms — e.g., "proof silver coin"

Search Suggestions

As you type, CoinDuffle shows real-time suggestions including:

• Product matches — Specific products that match your query
• Category matches — Relevant categories you can browse
• Popular searches — Common searches related to your query

Click any suggestion to jump directly to that product or category, or press Enter to see all results.

Search Tips

• Be specific when you can — "1 oz 2024 American Gold Eagle BU" will give more targeted results than just "gold coin"
• Use common abbreviations — The search understands common numismatic abbreviations like "BU" (Brilliant Uncirculated), "PF" (Proof), "MS" (Mint State), and grading numbers
• Try different terms — If you don't find what you want, try alternate names. For example, "ASE" and "American Silver Eagle" and "Silver Eagle" all work
• Search by SKU — If you have a specific product's SKU, you can search for it directly

Filtering Results

Once you're viewing a category page or search results, you can refine your results using filters. Filters appear in a sidebar on desktop or as a filter menu on mobile.

Available Filters

Metal Type

Narrow results to a specific precious metal:

• Gold
• Silver
• Platinum
• Palladium

Price Range

Set a minimum and/or maximum price to focus on products within your budget. The price range filter uses current prices (including live spot-based pricing).

Product Type

Filter by the type of product:

• Coins
• Bars
• Rounds
• Collectibles
• Graded/Certified

Condition

For collectible and numismatic items:

• Mint State / Uncirculated
• Proof
• About Uncirculated
• Circulated

Year

Filter products by the year they were minted. You can enter a specific year or a range.

Mint / Manufacturer

Filter by the mint or manufacturer:

• US Mint
• Royal Canadian Mint
• Perth Mint
• PAMP Suisse
• And many more

Seller

Filter to see products from a specific seller only.

Applying Multiple Filters

Filters are cumulative — each filter you add narrows the results further. For example, you could set:

• Metal: Silver
• Product Type: Coins
• Price: $25 – $50
• Condition: Mint State

This would show only uncirculated silver coins priced between $25 and $50.

Clearing Filters

To remove a filter, click the X next to the active filter tag at the top of the results. To clear all filters at once, click Clear All.

In addition to filtering, you can sort your results to find what you need faster:

Saving Your Search

If you find yourself searching for the same thing regularly, consider:

• Bookmarking the URL — Filter and sort settings are reflected in the page URL, so bookmarking the page preserves your exact search.
• Using your wishlist — Save individual items that catch your eye so you can find them quickly later.

Mobile Search and Filters

On mobile devices:

• Tap the search icon in the bottom navigation bar to open search
• Tap the filter icon on any listing page to open the filter menu as a slide-up panel
• Swipe down on the filter panel to dismiss it
• All the same filters and sorting options are available on mobile as on desktop
