A step-by-step guide to the CoinDuffle checkout process — from reviewing your cart to completing your purchase.
Checkout Flow
Checking out on CoinDuffle is a straightforward process designed to be secure and transparent at every step. Here's what to expect from start to finish.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have the following ready:
- A CoinDuffle account — You need to be signed in to check out.
- Items in your cart — Browse products and add items to your cart.
- A shipping address — You can add one during checkout or use a saved address.
- A payment method — Credit/debit card, ACH bank details, or wire transfer information.
Step 1: Review Your Cart
Click the Cart icon in the top navigation to open your shopping cart. Here you can:
- Review your items — See every product in your cart with its image, title, quantity, and current price.
- Update quantities — Use the +/- buttons to change how many of each item you want.
- Remove items — Click the remove icon to take an item out of your cart.
- See live pricing — For spot-based products, prices reflect the current metal market. Your cart total updates in real time.
- Review the cart summary — See your subtotal, estimated shipping, and estimated total.
When you're satisfied with your cart, click Proceed to Checkout.
Step 2: Enter Your Shipping Address
On the checkout page, you'll first provide your shipping address:
- Saved addresses — If you have addresses saved in your account, select one from the list.
- New address — Enter a new shipping address. CoinDuffle uses Google Maps autocomplete to help you enter your address quickly and accurately.
- Address validation — Your address is validated to ensure it's a real, deliverable location. If there's an issue, you'll see a prompt to correct it.
Fill in all required fields:
- Full name (as it should appear on the package)
- Street address (and apartment/suite number if applicable)
- City
- State
- ZIP code
- Phone number (used for delivery-related communication only)
Step 3: Review Shipping Options
After entering your address, you'll see available shipping options. CoinDuffle works with EasyPost to offer reliable shipping from multiple carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and more):
- Standard shipping — The most economical option, typically delivered in 5–7 business days.
- Priority shipping — Faster delivery, typically 2–3 business days.
- Insurance — Shipping insurance is included on most orders or available as an add-on for high-value shipments.
Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight of your order, the shipping method selected, and your delivery address. The exact cost appears before you finalize your order.
Step 4: Choose Your Payment Method
Select how you'd like to pay:
- Credit or Debit Card — Enter your card details or use a saved card. Payment is authorized immediately.
- ACH Bank Transfer — Enter your bank routing and account numbers. Payment takes 3–5 business days to clear.
- Wire Transfer — Select this option and you'll receive wire instructions after placing your order. Payment is typically received within 1 business day.

If paying by credit card, you'll also enter your billing address (if different from your shipping address).
Step 5: Review Your Order
Before finalizing, you'll see a complete order summary:
- Items — Every product with its quantity and price
- Subtotal — The total for all items before shipping
- Shipping — The cost of your selected shipping method
- Taxes — Any applicable sales tax based on your shipping address
- Total — The final amount you'll be charged
Take a moment to double-check everything. Make sure the shipping address is correct, the items and quantities are right, and the total looks as expected.
Step 6: Place Your Order
Click Place Order to complete your purchase. Here's what happens:
- Payment is processed — For credit cards, the charge is authorized immediately. For ACH, the transfer is initiated. For wire transfers, your order is reserved pending receipt of funds.
- Order is created — Your order is recorded in our system and assigned an order number.
- Confirmation page — You'll see a confirmation page with your order number and a summary of what you purchased.
- Confirmation email — A detailed confirmation email is sent to your registered email address.
After Checkout
Once your order is placed:
- Credit card orders — The seller is notified and begins preparing your order for shipment.
- ACH orders — Your order status shows "Pending" until the bank transfer clears (3–5 business days), after which the seller is notified.
- Wire transfer orders — Your order status shows "Pending" until the wire is received (typically 1 business day). You'll receive wire instructions via email.
You can track your order status at any time from Account → Orders.
Tips for a Smooth Checkout
- Double-check your address — Shipping precious metals to the wrong address can be costly. Verify your shipping address carefully.
- Use the right payment method — For large orders, ACH or wire transfer may save you money. For fast processing, use a credit card.
- Save your addresses — Adding your addresses to your account profile speeds up future checkouts.
- Check your email — The confirmation email contains important information including your order number and, for wire transfers, payment instructions. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
