Store Profile Creation

Create your CoinDuffle store profile with a custom name, URL, logo, description, and contact information. Build a professional storefront that attracts buyers.

Creating Your Store Profile

Your store profile is your public-facing presence on CoinDuffle. It's what buyers see when they browse your listings, visit your storefront, or check your dealer information. A well-crafted store profile builds trust, communicates professionalism, and helps convert visitors into customers.

Store Name

Your store name is the most prominent element of your profile. It appears on your storefront page, on every product listing, in search results, and in order confirmations.

Choosing a Good Store Name

  • Use your established business name if you have one — consistency across platforms builds brand recognition
  • Keep it professional — avoid special characters, excessive capitalization, or gimmicky names
  • Make it memorable — shorter names are easier for buyers to remember and type
  • Be descriptive when possible — names like "Pacific Northwest Coins" or "Liberty Gold & Silver" immediately tell buyers what you sell

Rules for Store Names

  • Must be between 3 and 50 characters
  • Cannot contain profanity or offensive language
  • Cannot impersonate another business or brand
  • Must be unique on the platform — no two stores can share the same name

Store URL (Slug)

Your store URL slug determines the web address of your storefront. For example, if your slug is liberty-gold, your store URL will be:

https://coinduffle.com/store/liberty-gold

Tips for Your Slug

  • Keep it short and cleanliberty-gold is better than liberty-gold-and-silver-coins-dealer
  • Use hyphens to separate words — spaces and underscores are not allowed
  • Make it match your store name as closely as possible for consistency
  • Choose carefully — while you can change your slug later, doing so will break any existing links to your store

Your store logo appears in your storefront header, next to your products in search results, and in various places throughout the marketplace.

Logo Requirements

  • Minimum size: 400 × 400 pixels
  • Recommended size: 800 × 800 pixels
  • Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, or WebP
  • Maximum file size: 5 MB
  • Shape: Square aspect ratio works best (1:1) — the logo will be displayed in a circular or rounded format in some contexts

Logo Best Practices

  • Use a clean, high-resolution image that looks good at small sizes
  • If you have a text-based logo, make sure it's readable at 50 × 50 pixels
  • Use a transparent background (PNG) for the most professional look
  • Avoid overly complex designs that lose detail when scaled down

If you don't have a logo yet, you can skip this step and add one later. A default placeholder will be shown in the meantime.

Store Description

Your store description is your opportunity to tell buyers who you are and why they should buy from you. It appears prominently on your storefront page.

What to Include

  • Who you are — Brief background on your business and experience
  • What you sell — The types of products buyers can find in your store
  • Why buy from you — What sets you apart (experience, guarantees, specialization, certifications)
  • Your commitment — Shipping speed, customer service philosophy, return policy highlights

Example Store Description

Liberty Gold & Silver has been serving collectors and investors since 2008. We specialize in American Gold and Silver Eagles, pre-1933 US gold coins, and certified modern coins graded by PCGS and NGC. As an ANA member and authorized PCGS dealer, we guarantee the authenticity of every item we sell. All orders ship within one business day via USPS Priority Mail with full insurance.

Formatting Tips

  • Keep it between 100 and 500 words
  • Use clear, concise language — avoid jargon that casual buyers might not understand
  • Focus on benefits to the buyer, not just features of your business
  • Proofread carefully — spelling and grammar errors erode trust

Contact Information

You can optionally display contact information on your storefront for buyers who prefer to reach out directly.

Available Contact Fields

  • Email address — A customer-facing email (can be different from your account email)
  • Phone number — A business phone number for inquiries
  • Website — A link to your external website, if you have one

All contact fields are optional. If you prefer to handle all communications through the CoinDuffle messaging system, you can leave these blank.

Business Address

Your store's business address serves two purposes:

  1. Return address — It's used as the return address on shipping labels unless you specify a separate shipping origin
  2. Buyer trust — Displaying a business location (city and state, not full address) can increase buyer confidence

You can choose whether to display your city and state on your public storefront. Your full address is never shown publicly.

Setting Up Your Store Profile

  1. Navigate to Seller Dashboard → Store Settings
  2. Click Edit Store Profile
  3. Enter your store name and URL slug
  4. Upload your logo
  5. Write your store description
  6. Add contact information (optional)
  7. Confirm your business address
  8. Click Save Profile

Your storefront will be created immediately, but it won't be visible to buyers until you complete KYC verification and payment setup.

Previewing Your Storefront

After saving your profile, click View Storefront to see how your store looks to buyers. Check that:

  • Your logo displays correctly at different sizes
  • Your store name and description look professional
  • Contact information is accurate (if provided)
  • The URL slug works as expected

Updating Your Profile Later

You can update any element of your store profile at any time from Seller Dashboard → Store Settings. Changes take effect immediately. Keep in mind:

  • Changing your store name may temporarily confuse repeat customers
  • Changing your URL slug will break any existing links or bookmarks
  • Updating your description is always a good idea as your inventory evolves

With your store profile created, continue to:

  1. Complete KYC Verification — Verify your identity
  2. Connect Stripe — Enable payouts
