Struck at the New Orleans Mint in 1885, this coin carries the distinctive "O" mint mark on its reverse, just below the eagle. The obverse presents George T. Morgan's celebrated portrait of Liberty — her hair adorned with a wheat and cotton wreath and a coronet inscribed LIBERTY — surrounded by thirteen stars and the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM.
